Your Living Chronicle account is fully cloud-synced. If two of your devices show different progress, one of them is out of date.
Force a sync
- Open Settings → Account → Sync now.
- Wait for the spinner to complete.
- Pull down on the home screen to refresh.
This forces a fresh fetch from our servers and resolves 95% of sync issues.
Sign out and back in
If forcing a sync does not work:
- Settings → Account → Sign out.
- Close the app.
- Open it again and sign back in.
Signing out does not delete anything — it just clears the local cache and forces a clean fetch.
Network requirements
Sync needs a reachable network. The app falls back to a local cache when offline, but votes and investigations cast offline are queued and only commit once the device reconnects. If your device has been offline for more than 24 hours, the queue may be cleared on the next sync — chronicle-api enforces a one-day grace window.
Conflict resolution
If you cast votes on two devices at the same time, the vote that arrives at our servers second wins. There is no merging — the most recent vote is what counts.

If your devices still show different progress after signing out and back in, send us your username and the device names so we can check the server-side audit log.
