The Living Chronicle publishes one chapter every day. Reading it takes about five minutes.
The daily ritual
- Open the app in the morning. The latest chapter is on the home screen.
- Tap Read today's chapter.
- The chapter is divided into short sections. Swipe or tap Next to move forward.
- At the end, you will see today's open questions — these are the things tomorrow's chapter will react to.
- Cast your votes, then optionally run one or two investigations.
- Close the app. You are done for the day.
Why daily
The Chronicle is designed as a daily ritual, like a newspaper crossword. A chapter you miss never disappears — past chapters live in Archive — but new content arrives every morning, and the world reacts to what the community did the day before.
Chapter zero
Your very first chapter is Episode Zero, a 60-second teaser that introduces the world. After Episode Zero you join the live Chronicle at whatever chapter is currently published.
Skipping ahead
You can read the published archive in any order, but only the current chapter accepts votes and investigations. Old chapters are read-only.
Audio narration
Chronicle+ subscribers can listen to chapters narrated by an AI voice instead of reading. Toggle audio mode from the chapter header.
