Theories are how players turn small discoveries into bigger ideas. The best theories shape how the rest of the community reads the Chronicle.
How to submit
- Open Community → Theories.
- Tap New theory.
- Pick a topic (character, faction, location, artifact, or arc).
- Write your theory. Markdown is supported. There is a 2,000-character limit.
- Optionally tag related discoveries from your codex.
- Tap Submit.
Submitting costs 1 AP. If your theory hits 10+ upvotes, the AP is refunded.
Upvotes and downvotes
Other players can upvote (interesting and well-argued) or downvote (off-topic, low-effort, or spoiler-violating). Theories with a net positive score climb the public theory board.
Confirmation
If a theory turns out to match canon — typically because a future chapter confirms it — the system marks it confirmed and the author gets a faction-rank bonus.
What does not count as a theory
- Spoiler-leaks from datamining or accidental staff communication. We will remove these on sight.
- Personal attacks against other players or theories. Critique the idea, not the person.
- Real-world political content. The Chronicle is fiction; keep it that way.
Drafts
You can save drafts and come back. Drafts live in Community → Theories → Drafts for 30 days, then auto-delete.
